Plans and billing

Brickworks has two plans, Free and Pro. Pro is coming soon: nothing takes money yet. The plans page is where they are set out, with Pro's price, and it is the word on them; this page says the same.

Free

The whole of Brickworks, for personal and educational use:

• the web app, in any browser, with nothing to install;
• the desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux, which works offline with every part on disk;
• AI without a limit: you bring your own, so nothing is counted;
• up to 25 models kept with your account;
• saving to your device and exporting, without a limit;
• the whole LDraw parts library, and its official models of real sets;
• physics: whether it stands, and joints that move;
• booklets to print or save as PDF, renders and exports;
• finding a part from a photo, and parts lists for Rebrickable and BrickLink;
• publishing to the gallery, and challenges;
• Build together, live, by a link.

Pro

Coming soon, at $8 a month or $80 a year. Everything in Free, and:

• any number of models kept with your account;
• commercial use: selling instructions, kits, renders or builds made to order. Its terms come with Pro;
• later, a longer history of every model's versions.

30 days free, with no card, when you first reach 25 models. Free for students and teachers.

AI is never limited

On every plan. You bring your own AI: your Claude through the connector or Claude Code, or your own Anthropic API key; in the desktop app, a key for another AI too. Its maker bills your plan or key for what it does, never Brickworks, so Brickworks never counts it or pays for it. How it builds is in How the AI works.

Have an account?

Every account made before 29 October 2026 keeps Pro, free and with no end date, as the plans page promised then: any number of models kept with the account, and commercial use once its terms are out. There is nothing to do.

Education

Students and teachers can have Pro free, a year at a time, once Pro opens: see the plans page for how.

What stays free

Pro takes nothing out of Free. AI is never limited, and saving to your device and exporting never are. Your models are never deleted or locked: on any plan, or none, the app opens, edits and exports everything you made. The desktop app is free, and every version you download keeps working.
