Have an account? You keep everything

Every account made before 29 October 2026 gets Pro, free and with no end date, as this page promised then: every model kept with your account, and commercial use once its terms are out. There is nothing to do: it is on your account when Pro opens.

Education is free

Students and teachers can have Pro free, a year at a time and again when you ask, with a school email or a short form once Pro opens; for a school, the same for each teacher. Teaching? Say so in the form’s line.

What stays free

Pro keeps every model with your account and adds a licence for commercial use. It takes nothing out of Free, which keeps all of this, for personal and educational use:

  • The web app and the desktop app. In any browser, on a computer, a tablet or a phone; and on Windows, macOS and Linux, offline. Every desktop version you download keeps working.
  • Building by hand, and AI, without a limit. Bring your own AI: your Claude through the connector or Claude Code, or an Anthropic API key, in any browser; in the desktop app, your own key for OpenAI, Gemini and others too.
  • Everything else the app does today. Saving to your device, 25 models kept with your account, Build together, booklets and PDFs, renders, exports, photo search, parts lists, publishing, the gallery and challenges.
  • Your models. Nothing is ever deleted or locked: on any plan, or none, the app opens, edits and exports everything you made. With more than 25 kept with your account you keep every one; a new one goes there once you are under 25 again.

Questions

Wasn’t the desktop app going to come with Pro?

From 29 October to 2 November 2026 this page said so. Not any more: the desktop app is free, as it was before, and Pro is every model kept with your account and a licence for commercial use. Everyone who had an account before 29 October still gets Pro, free, with no end date. Nothing anyone has is taken away.

Can I sell what I make?

Free is for personal and educational use. Selling what you make with Brickworks, such as instructions, kits, renders or builds made to order, comes with Pro, under terms that come with it when Pro opens.

Is AI limited on Free?

No. AI has no limit on any plan, because you bring your own: your Claude through the connector or Claude Code, or your own Anthropic API key; in the desktop app, your own key for OpenAI, Gemini and others too. Brickworks never meters it or pays for its tokens.

Why Pro at all?

To pay for what Brickworks costs to run and to make: the servers the app and the connector run on, and the storage your models are kept in. Pro charges for keeping more than 25, and for selling what you make, which earns you money. The AI itself runs on your own plan or key, so Brickworks never sells model use or takes a cut of it.

Can I pay now?

No. Pro is not on sale yet, and nothing here takes a card. When it opens, its price, how it renews and how to cancel are said here and in the terms before you pay.

What if I stop paying for Pro?

Nothing stops. Your account goes back to Free: the web app, the desktop app, and 25 models kept with your account. Every model already there stays; a new one goes there once you are under 25. Nothing you made is deleted or locked.

What does the form keep?

Your email, monthly or yearly, and your line, only to write to you once when Pro opens. To take it off, open the form, type the address and choose take it off. More in privacy.
